Dead Man's Switch is a unique perk belonging to Deathslinger. It was added to the game on 10 March 2020 in patch 3.6.0 as part of the Chains of Hate Chapter.

Descriptions & Patch Notes

When you hook a Survivor, Dead Man's Switch activates for the next 20/25/30 seconds.

While activated, any Survivor that stops repairing a generator before it is fully repaired causes The Entity to block the generator until Dead Man's Switch's effect ends.

Affected generators are highlighted by a white aura.

When you hook a Survivor, Dead Man's Switch activates for the next 35/40/45 seconds.

While activated, any Survivor that stops repairing a generator before it is fully repaired causes The Entity to block the generator until Dead Man's Switch's effect ends.

Affected generators are highlighted by a white aura.

Changes:

Buff Removed the Obsession mechanic, the perk now triggers when hooking any survivor.

You become obsessed with one Survivor.

After hooking the Obsession, Dead Man's Switch activates for the next 35/40/45 seconds.

While activated, any Survivor that stops repairing a generator before it is fully repaired causes The Entity to block the generator until Dead Man's Switch's effect ends.

Affected generators are highlighted by a white aura.

The Killer can only be obsessed with one survivor at a time.
