Dead Hard
Dead Hard is a unique perk belonging to David King. It was added to the game on 27 July 2017 in patch 1.6.0 as part of the A Lullaby for the Dark Chapter.

You can take a beating.
Dead hard activates after you are unhooked or unhook yourself.
When injured, tap into your adrenaline bank to avoid incoming damage. Press the Active Ability Button 1 while running to gain the Endurance status effect for the next 0.5 seconds.
- Causes the Exhausted status effect for 60/50/40 seconds.
- Dead Hard then deactivates.
Endurance prevents a Survivor from being downed, inflicting Deep Wound instead.
Deep Wound will put a Survivor in the dying state unless it is mended before the timer runs out.
Exhausted prevents survivors from activating exhausting perks.

Changes:
- Nerf Now requires an unhook action (either by you or on you) to activate

Changes:
- Rework Removed the dash / dodge element of the perk. Activating Dead Hard now grants the Survivor Endurance for 1 second. An animation plays when activated so Killers can see when the perk is used without the Survivor being hit
- Note Endurance duration was reduced from 1 second to 0.5 seconds after the 6.1.0 PTB

You can take a beating. When injured, tap into your adrenaline bank and dash forward quickly to avoid damage.
- Press the Active Ability button while running to dash forward.
- During the dash, you avoid damage.
- Causes the Exhausted status effect for 60/50/40 seconds.
You do not recover from the Exhausted status effect while running.
